The U Scandal

Here we go again, another Major College Football Scandal and this time it's the U. Am I supposed to be surprised? First it was USC, then Ohio State, and now Miami. I think it's becoming a realization that every Big Time Program was Receiving Benifits. College Football is a cesspool for this kind of Shit. As for Miami it's self, this comes as no shock. Think about the Life Style down there, and the Players that attended the U. A lot of the Players that went to the U grew up in Less Fortunate situations and weren't going to pass up Money when giving the opportunity. Then there's the Life Style, have you ever been to Miami? When your down there you can't help but wanna Party, Drink, hit up the Strip Clubs, hang out on the Yachts, Live it up on South Beach. It's pretty obvious this Shit was going down and you know what, it's not a big deal to me. I don't blame those kids for wanting to Live it up. College Athletes should get paid anyways but we'll save that debate for another day. I have no problem with players getting Perks from the Boosters. Now this Shapiro dude seems a bit over the Top but what ever, he just did what all the other Boosters were doing in College Football. As for the List of Players named in the Investigation, of course I focused on the Patriots Players and Wilfork was the only one on the List. I was extremely surprised that Brandon Meriweather was not on the List! How the Hell does that guy not make the List? But as for Wilfork, you have to understand where he was coming from, both his Parents passed away while he was attending Miami and he was most likely in need of some Financial Help. Knowing Vince Wilfork I want to believe the $50,000 he received went toward his Family. I'm not shocked at all that this came out about the U and I won't be surprised in a year or two when something comes out about yet another Big Time Program (Auburn), it's the Reality of College Football, they all did it.

Patriots Mock Draft

Round 1 29. Robert Woods, WR, USC - I've been saying Woods will be this pick for weeks. It seems like the Patriots really like this kid. He is a smart receiver coming from a sophisticated offense at USC. Polished route runner with great hands. He's a playmaker and will start from day 1 with the Patriots. Round 2 59. Alex Okafor, DE, Texas - Okafor was one of the best pass rushers in college football last year recording 12.5. He is very athletic and can get after the QB but he is also solid against the run. He even moved inside and played a little DT at Texas. He is expeted to be a left DE in the NFL which would be perfect opposite Chandler Jones. Round 3 91. Tyrann Mathieu, CB/S, LSU - A lot of baggage comes with Mathieu but the Patriots seem very interested. He has met with Patriots multiple times. Belichick has no problem taking pot guys who slip. He is a playmaker on the field. He is versatile and has a swagger the Patriots Defense could use. Round 7 226. Jos...

Patriots Free Agent Targets

Here's my List of the Top 10 Players I would like to see the Patriots Target this Offseason. I am not including their own Free Agents in the List but I will tell you which of their own Players I would Like to see retained. 1. CB Cortland Finnegan, Tennessee - One of the Most Physical Defensive Backs in the NFL. It's no secret the Patriots need help in the secondary and Finnegan would be a Huge Addition. He can shutdown any teams #1 WR. In my opinion he is one of the Best CB in the NFL. 2. WR Marquise Colston, New Orleans - It's clear the Patriots need a Deep Threat at WR to open up this Offense and in my opinion Colston is the Best on the Market. He is also 6'4" and physical. An ideal WR that Tom Brady needs. 3. WR Brandon Lloyd, St. Louis - Probably the Best Fit at WR for the Patriots. Lloyd has had previous success in Josh McDaniels' system. A speedster who will help stretch the field for the Patriots Offense. 4. WR Reggie Wayne, Indianapolis - V...

2013 NFL Draft - Top 10 Sleepers

1. Stedman Bailey, WR, West Virginia - Bailey is a terrific route runner and reads coverages well. He has great hands and makes some amazing catches. He lacks elite speed but is quick, especially off the snap. He is also on the shorter side at 5'10". (Projected 3rd Round Selection) 2. Corey Lemonier, OLB, Auburn - Lemonier is a terrific pass rusher. He needs to add some strength to improve his run defense but he can sure get after the QB. He could play some DE but it likely an OLB at the next level. (Projected 3rd Round Selection) 3. John Simon, DE, Ohio State - Simon has a great work ethic and is a tremendous leader on and off the football field. He is a solid pass rusher and is very versatile, he can lineup at DE or OLB. (Projected 3rd-4th Round Selection) 4. Kiko Alonso, LB, Oregon - Kiko has some red flags but he is an incredible athlete. He can play every LB position, inside or outside. He is excellent in coverage. (Projected 3rd Round Selection) 5. Phillip Thoma...
