Ten Predictions for the 2012 New England Patriots

1. Aaron Hernandez will lead the Team with over 1,300 receiving yards and 12 Touchdowns.

I expect Hernandez to be the focal point of this offense moving forward. I think Josh McDaniels will be able to utilize him like no other player. He will line up at TE, WR, and RB. Hernandez also has a chance to lead the Team in receptions, he should have over 100 but I'll still give the nod to Welker in that category. He might even add a couple hundred yards rushing. Hernandez is a special player and will show it in 2012.

2. Brandon Lloyd will have 75 catches.

I believe Lloyd will have a pretty solid season for the Patriots but won't be off the charts. He is not the second coming of the 2007 Randy Moss. I can see him having around 75 catches for 1,000 yards and 7 Touchdowns. He is going to be the 4th option on this team behind Hernandez, Welker and Gronkowski so those numbers will be great for a 4th option.

3. Rob Gronkowski will have 10 Touchdowns.

I think Gronkowski is going to take a step back in 2012. He is still going to be a force but I think Defenses will adjust better and limit him, especially in the red zone where he killed teams last season. Also with added weapons such as Lloyd on the Offense his numbers will go down.

4. Brandon Spikes will play all 16 games and lead the Team in Tackles.

There is no question Spikes is a great player and a difference maker on this defense. The only question regarding him is can he stay healthy for all 16 games. I think this will be the year he does stay healthy and as the middle Linebacker of this defense he will lead the team in tackles. He should get somewhere around 100 tackles.

5. Devin McCourty will have a bounce back year and lead the Team with 8 Interceptions.

I don't expect McCourty to be as productive as he was in 2010 but he'll be a lot better than he was last season. I think he's a better player than he showed in 2011. Not that I believe Kyle Arrington will drop off, I actually think he's gonna be solid again but I feel like his Interception numbers will drop and McCourty will once again lead the Team and maybe league in Interceptions as he did in 2010.

6. Chandler Jones will win the NFL Defensive Rookie of the year Award.

Jones is an absolute beast. He is going to be a freak this season. He is going to rack up 10+ sacks and I believe he is bigger and stronger than anyone thought he would be and he will be solid against the run as well. This kid is a 3 down player, not just a pass rusher. He is going to dominate offensive tackles in this league.

7. Stevan Ridley will rush for over 1,100 yards.

Ridley has looked really good in the preseason. He is going to be a #1 RB in this league. I expect him to make a big jump towards that this season. This might be the best rushing attack the Patriots have had since 2004 with Corey Dillon at the helm. Benny was solid over the last few years but he wasn't explosive, Ridley is and will show it this season. I look for him to have between 8 and 10 Touchdowns as well.

8. Zoltan Mesko will be the AFC Pro Bowl Punter.

Gotta get Special Teams on this list. Mesko is a very underrated punter in my opinion. I think he might be the best in the league. This year he will get his recognition. He's gonna play a big part in helping this young defense develop by pinning teams inside the 20 all season long. He's going to the Pro Bowl.

9. Tom Brady will win the NFL MVP Award.

Tom Brady will throw for over 5,000 yards again this year and he will have at least 42 Touchdowns, I wouldn't be surprised if he nears his career and NFL high 50. He is going to have a better running game to compliment his passing attack which will open up guys to catch passes. His top 4 weapons might be the best he's ever had in one year. Brady is going to have a monster year, guaranteed.

10. The New England Patriots will beat the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl XLVII.

The Patriots will win the AFC East with a 15-1 record, beat the Houston Texans in the AFC Championship Game and advance to play the 49ers in Super Bowl XLVII. The Patriots will beat the 49ers 30-20 and Tom Brady will win the Super Bowl MVP Award.

The U Scandal

Here we go again, another Major College Football Scandal and this time it's the U. Am I supposed to be surprised? First it was USC, then Ohio State, and now Miami. I think it's becoming a realization that every Big Time Program was Receiving Benifits. College Football is a cesspool for this kind of Shit. As for Miami it's self, this comes as no shock. Think about the Life Style down there, and the Players that attended the U. A lot of the Players that went to the U grew up in Less Fortunate situations and weren't going to pass up Money when giving the opportunity. Then there's the Life Style, have you ever been to Miami? When your down there you can't help but wanna Party, Drink, hit up the Strip Clubs, hang out on the Yachts, Live it up on South Beach. It's pretty obvious this Shit was going down and you know what, it's not a big deal to me. I don't blame those kids for wanting to Live it up. College Athletes should get paid anyways but we

On the Bubble

With the Patriots heading to Detroit this Saturday for their third preseason game there a few players who are in need of a big game to earn themselves a roster spot. This is one of the deepest teams the Patriots have ever had and spots are limited. Here's a list of a few guys who I think are on the bubble right now and will need to do some serious work to make this team. 1. Brandon Tate, WR: With the new Kickoff Rule in the NFL this season it seems like Brandon Tate's value to this team is way down. He was a top 5 Kick Returner in the NFL last year but this year he may not even be needed as kick returns will be limited. He is a much better Kick Returner then Wide Receiver and because he has been injured most of camp he hasn't been able to improve his Wide Receiver skills. Also the emergence of Taylor Price doesn't help either. Brandon Tate is going to have to have a couple big games, receiving not returning, to secure a spot on this team. 2. Sammy Morris, RB: I
